-Kevin Owens vs Cesaro

So WWE is trying to tell us this card is supposed to give us a WrestleMania feel but, besides the Undertaker/Lesnar match that has only been given real focus on the night after Battleground, I just feel like there are a lot of matches that do not offer any stories that fans can really get behind.

The WWE Off-season has brought us some corrective restoration of the Shield and the Wyatts and the debuts of Kevin Owens and the Divas Revolution. But the midcard is where it always is. There is not one WWE Superstar that has been elevated or pushed to be given a match of any real significance or consequence. Hate to give everyone the reality check, but while we might be content with what WWE gives us, there has been no progression of star power.

Meanwhile, WWE NXT has tremendous momentum leading into Brooklyn, New York next weekend with its largest sell-out crowd ever to watch the brand celebrating its third anniversary this month.

When NXT Takeover: Brooklyn has more hype on the same weekend as Summerslam with less promotion and supposed lower-tier talent,  yet both events were able to sell out the same venue. WWE needs to focus more about long term survival rather than short-term success. -KOP
