I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. And I’m all out of bubble gum.
It’s so hard to fathom watching wrestling and looking back at the history of the business without thinking of the Hot Rod. Yes, his WWF run in the 80s will always be remembered but think about how wrestlers he has faced, as well as how many territories he had wrestled in his 40 plus year career.
Much like we will never encounter another Dusty Rhodes, the same can definitely be said about Roddy Piper. He will be missed, along with the many memorable matches and memories inside of Piper’s Pit, and today’s wrestling could use a lot more wrestlers like him. WWE should pull out the bagpipes along with a 10-bell salute for him this Monday night on RAW. -KOP
