Universal Title Storyline: From #HellinACell to Hell Out Of a Cell

Universal Title Storyline starts with #HellinACell then goes to Hell Out Of a Cell as Brock Lesnar returns to make the main event a no-contest. KOP runs through a slightly-better than RAW PPV.

Becky Lynch wins the Smackdown Live Womens title, but aside from some good matches nothing really happened.

Can NXT Sustain the Casual Fans Interest? Why Should They?

NXT might have become a brand so sayeth Triple H back during Wrestlemania season, but casual fans will soon be coming to grips on the reality…that WWE’s NXT promotion must still operate as a developmental system. Therefore, the casual fans mettle will be tested now that the women’s division has been depleted of three of its top stars.

The move to call up Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks was ultimately a great idea. They could not stay working at Full Sail for much longer. We can only help this wholesale move pays off given the WWE creative team do the right thing for them in the storyline.

Add Kevin Owens, Neville and the Lucha Dragons call up after Wrestlemania season, combined with the mounting injuries to Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami and Bayley,  NXT is truly back to looking like the developmental darling that fans like yours truly scoured the internet to find each week without the luxury of the WWE Network.

Though I do enjoy the lustre of the highly praised indy stars like Finn Balor and Samoa Joe gracing us with their weekly TV presence, NXT has been left with some really entertaining and promising talent.

I’m talking about singles competitors (Tyler Breeze, Mojo Rawley (go ahead and give me crap for saying him), Bull Dempsey (Yes, shovel more crap on me for saying him too), and Uhaa Nation.

Plus, we still have some great women’s talent in Bayley, Emma and guess who, even Dana Brooke continues to intrigue me. Then, there’s still the tag team division (Enzo and Cass,  Vaudevillians).

It’s step-up time for the next wave of talent, and I’m a fan of the underdogs, the talent that the casual fan doesn’t care about, and the smart fans do not care to notice.  This current time of NXT will have me glued to start wondering whom will be ready to stand out ahead of the pack.

If any of you happen to be going to the NXT event in West Palm Beach next week, email me and let’s get some fans together. -KOP
